I had the honor to partner with one of the greatest US foundations on a fundraising event that had as a purpose support families going through a cancer treatment.

The event powered by Florida Cancer Specialist Foundation’s theme was “Spring in Italy” and to create something that would walk along with the theme I decided to represent in the painting I created the feelings we have when being at one of those incredible places in Italy during the spring time.

I imagined walking through those picturesque little roads with the gentle sea breeze feel on the skin, the mango gelato, the colorful blooms in every corner, the soft touch of hands that hold together during the stroll. The song which inspired me with the colors and shapes was “Con te Partirò” by Andrea Bocelli. This song gave me bright pink, orange, and blue sensations. It evoked gentle and rounded shapes and lines, just like the softness of a petal. Lastly, I pin pointed parts with of bright energy I felt from the intensity of the love story told in the lyric.

The final piece was donated and auctioned as one of the golden prizes os the day, and my heart is filled with gratitude and joy for having this incredible chance to support such a great cause with the talents I have.
